COMO Uma Paro
A 29-key resort on a pine-covered hill above Paro town, on a 37-acre estate a short drive from the airport. Rooms, suites and private villas, a COMO Shambhala spa with hot stone bathhouses, and a well-regarded restaurant.
Uma Paro sits on a hill above Paro, within a short drive of the airport, Rinpung Dzong and the Taktsang trailhead. Its 20 rooms and suites and nine one- and two-bedroom villas mix clean contemporary design with Bhutanese craft. The estate covers about 37 acres of pine forest, with walking paths and views over the Paro valley.
The COMO Shambhala spa has two private hot stone bathhouses, an indoor pool and a gym, and runs yoga and wellness programmes. The restaurant serves Bhutanese and international food. COMO also runs Uma Punakha on the Mo Chhu, which many guests combine with Paro. Rates vary by room type and season; confirm with COMO or your operator.
