Ladakh in July
High summer. Apricots ripen in lower Ladakh and Turtuk from July, Zanskar's Pensi La road is fully open, and wildflowers cover the higher pastures. The Manali road can be cut for a day or two by landslides on the Himachal side when monsoon rain reaches Lahaul. Ladakh itself stays mostly dry. It is busy, but the valleys are large enough to find quiet.
