Siiro Resort, Ziro
A pine-wood resort in Siiro village on the edge of the Ziro valley, with private rooms, attached bathrooms and views over the paddies. It is the most comfortable place we know in Ziro and books out early for the music festival.

Rooms and cottages are built largely of wood, with attached bathrooms and hot water, and the dining room serves Apatani, Indian and Chinese dishes. The setting among pines gives quiet mornings and good walks into the fields below.
For travellers who prefer a hotel-style room to a family homestay, it is the natural choice, and we use it on comfort and signature trips. Around the Ziro Festival of Music in late September it fills months ahead, so book early. Ask your hosts to arrange a village guide for Hong or Hari.

Ziro
Ziro is a broad valley at about 1,500–1,700 m in Lower Subansiri district, home of the Apatani people and 115 km from Itanagar. Its permanent rice terraces, where fish grow among the paddy, are on UNESCO's tentative World Heritage list. Stay 3–4 nights in an Apatani homestay; come in April, late September or October.

How far is Siiro Resort from Hapoli?
A short drive of 15–20 minutes from Hapoli, Ziro's market town. The resort can arrange taxis, and village guides for Hong, Hari and Siiro.
Is Siiro Resort open during the Ziro Festival of Music?
