Netuk House
A family-run heritage guesthouse in a traditional Sikkimese home off Tibet Road, known for its painted interiors and home-cooked Sikkimese meals. A small, personal stay a short walk from the centre of Gangtok.
Netuk House is a Sikkimese family home that takes guests in a small number of rooms, decorated with traditional painted woodwork, carpets and furnishings. It sits in a quiet lane near Tibet Road, a short uphill walk from MG Marg.
The experience is closer to staying with a family than in a hotel, and meals often include Sikkimese dishes. It suits travellers who want character and quiet in the city. Rooms are limited, so book ahead in spring and autumn, and confirm current rates and meal plans directly.

Around the stay
Gangtok
Gangtok is Sikkim's capital, spread along a ridge at about 1,650 m above the Ranikhola valley. It has been the seat of government since 1894. Use it as the base for Tsomgo Lake, Nathu La and North Sikkim permits, and give it two days of its own for MG Marg, its monasteries and the Tibetology institute.
