Spiti & Lahaul in April
Spring arrives slowly. Fields are ploughed with dzo, apricot trees in lower Kinnaur flower, and Kaza starts to reopen by the end of the month. The Manali–Kaza road over Kunzum is still under snow, so the only way in is from Shimla. Langza and Komic may still have snow on the access road. A quiet month for a Kinnaur and lower Spiti trip, not yet for the full circuit.
